Tasting Notes
Graacher Domprobst
1996 - Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese Versteigerungswein
In the nose licorice, roasted caramel, honey, ripe apples, raisins, orange peel, slight wood, deep herbs. On the palate juicy and rich, great red orange, fresh and creamy acidity, gentle mouthfeel, ripe apples and dried pineapple, also unripe mango and citrus notes. Finishes with an amazingly fresh honey-orange-caramel mix. Brilliant!
1989 - Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese
A true classic from the Moselle that has quite some years already: Soft nose of caramel, chocolate and raisins, on the palate fruit notes of fig and dried plums, you can still taste the slate minerality, great balance of aging elements, acidity and minerality, stays a while. Brilliant.
Wehlener Sonnenuhr
2015 - Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese
While the nose is on the typical exotic side of Wehlener Sonnenuhr, the palate is a big basket of ripe apples and pears, all super smooth, rich and gentle. Still with the right drinking flow. Love it!
