Erdener Prälat

2016 - Erdener Prälat Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel
Rich passion fruit with great spicy slate minerality in the nose, slight banana, sweet pineapple, floral notes, lemon balm, on the palate very concentrated, highly elegant, great fresh acidity, ripe pears, melon, yellow plums, everlasting finish. Just brilliant!

2014 - Erdener Prälat Riesling GG Reserve Alte Reben
The top-notch wine of Dr. Loosen. Ripe, dense structure, opulent and elegant at the same time, deep minerality, hints of nuts and exotics. On the palate super exiting spiciness, beautiful rich ripe fruit body, super elegant and creamy. Everlasting finish with lots of spices and grapefruit peel.

1998 - Erdener Prälat Riesling Auslese
Fresh like a spring flower, harmonious, fruity and yet seasoned with spices, which are hardly found anywhere else on the Moselle. Outstanding.

1998 - Erdener Prälat Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel
Ripe nose with honey and dried fruits, ripe apples, raisins, exotic elements, candyfloss, herbal and spicy. On the palate it starts very creamy and super elegant, acidity is still fresh and young, ripe fruit notes of exotic fruits like pineapple and mango, great spices from the slate minerality, honey. Finishes unbelievably young and super fresh with a spice-fruit-honey mix. Maybe its best drinking time now after 20 years! 

1997 - Erdener Prälat Riesling Auslese
Beautiful honey and caramel combined with floral notes in the nose, on the palate soft and smooth, great fruit notes of cherry and peach, candy, dried fruits, nice acidity. One of the greatest old Rieslings we ever had.

Ürziger Würzgarten

2018 - Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling GG Alte Reben
Racy nose with pressure, still wild but already very charming. On the palate lots of spices, citrus peel, exotic fruits. Finishes long with a great exotic-spice-mix.

2018 - Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Kabinett
Nose is fresh-fruity, with nice and wild spices, mostly citrus fruits with orange and ripe grapefruits, some exotics, some honey. On the palate a perfect lively spice-sweetness-acidity-mix, racy, fresh and inviting. Finishes with lots of ripe citrus fruit notes and nice spiciness.

2017 - Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese
Fine sweetness in a great nose of exotic-spice-mix. The palate is inviting, super balanced, dancing, deep, fresh, lively, red slate style. Finishes lovely with a mouthwatering spice-fruit-mix.

2017 - Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese
Very nice, dense and compact fruit nose with lots of exotic fruits and spices. A great palate with much harmony, soft, creamy, dense, fresh and racy. Especially the Würzgarten is able to offer that much raciness in a fruity Auslese. Very delicious!

2013 - Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling GG Alte Reben
The nose is appealing and energetic with deep spiciness and multiple herbs. In the glass freshness and complexity, very well balanced. Very long finish with tart spices, many herbs and lots of grapefruit peel.

2012 - Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling GG Reserve
Already the nose tells you that this wines is still too young after seven years. It’s huge, amazing complexity, ripe and rich, ripe fruit, dried pineapples, some vanilla, some wood, lots of herbs and spices, but it can easily do another five to ten years before it will be in full harmony. One the palate the acidity is full of energy and tension, amazing rich spiciness with everything the Würzgarten has to offer, all so unbelievably smooth and creamy. One of these wines that will leave you happy!

1997 - Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese
Greatly aged nose with ripe yellow apples, also exotics and cassis. On the palate beautiful ripe acidity, very balanced with great spiciness, lots of rich cassis fruit, much younger than expected. Finishes super long and racy, very mouthwatering.

Wehlener Sonnenuhr

2018 - Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling GG Alte Reben
Elegant and rich fruit nose, yellow stone fruits, apples, rich, fine exotic notes. On the palate passion fruit, pineapple, spicy with lots of fire stone, dense, fresh, creamy. Finishes great with salt, citrus and spices. Great stuff!

2018 - Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett
Very nice, open and fresh apple nose, some floral elements, added by some exotics. Fine and dense spiciness on the palate, tart, fresh and fruity. Spices, pepper, fruit and some salt in the long mouthwatering finish.

2017 - Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese
White peach, green apples and the freshness coming from the blue slate are defining the nose. Elegance and freshness on the palate, drinks super easy thanks to the racy acidity and the fresh spiciness. Let’s finish the bottle.

2014 - Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling GG Alte Reben
Ripe fruit nose with beautiful spiciness. On the palate warm and spicy, full-bodied, thanks to the minerality very racy, very straight ahead. Finishes with lots of spices, everlasting long, beautiful warmth and ripeness.

1996 - Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese
Fresh in the nose with flavors of plums, cherry, honey, slate minerality, on the palate also grapefruit, quince, gooseberry, slight caramel and herbal elements. So fresh, so nice! 

Graacher Himmelreich

2018 - Graacher Himmelreich Riesling GG Alte Reben
Very elegant and complex nose, deep spices, beautiful herbal notes. On the palate pure elegance, dense, great spice-acidity-harmony, steel-cold-freshness. The finish is mineralic, beautiful salty with rich citrus peel notes.

2017 - Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Tradition
The idea is to make a classic style “feinherb” Moselle Riesling, with some residual sugar, a Kabinett with character – just like back in the days which is why it’s called “tradition”. This works and is a lot of fun. Great freshness and spiciness, beautiful racy, very nice sweetness-acidity-balance. Finishes mouthwatering with salt.

Graacher Domprobst

2018 - Graacher Domprobst Riesling GG
The nose is very fruit-driven, exotic, ripe pineapple, banana. The palate starts gentle, followed by a racy acidity, lots of freshness and power. The finish is racy, spicy, salty and absolutely mouthwatering.

2018 - Erdener Treppchen Riesling GG Alte Reben
Deep and long spiciness from the very start to the very finish. Super racy, red slate minerality, very wild.

2017 - Erdener Treppchen Riesling GG Auslese
Creamy and elegant fine fruit nose with stony minerality. On the palate soft, exotic, very creamy and juicy. A super delicious Auslese Riesling.

Bernkasteler Johannisbrünnchen

2018 - Bernkasteler Johannisbrünnchen Riesling GG 
Inviting, soft fruit nose, lots of yellow apple fruit notes, also white peaches, pear, plus cassis, slate minerality. Tight, crisp acidity on the palate, rich spices, great minerality, soft texture thanks to the blue slate, fresh and ripe at the same time. Citrus-style finish with great orange and lime peel.

Kinheimer Rosenberg

2018 - Kinheimer Rosenberg Riesling GG Alte Reben
Fine, soft nose, slightly floral. On the palate a surprise. Stony, bit stiff, tart, acidity with a lot of pressure. Not yet in balance but very exciting.

Bernkasteler Lay

1999 - Bernkasteler Lay Riesling Auslese 
This great Auslese shows again how crazy good Riesling ages - beautiful dried fruit notes, honey, caramel, still also spicy. Wicked stuff!

Others

2018 - Blauschiefer Riesling
That is Dr. Loosen’s basic wine (Gutswein) that comes for only 12 Euros. The nose is beautiful spicy, elegant, steel-type character with some mint, yellow fruit notes but also red currant. Elegant texture, deep spicy minerality, playing with intense citrus notes, especially grapefruit peel. Finishes really long for this price range with intense spices and citrus notes.

2018 - Graacher Riesling
A softer nose with fruit focus, still very straight forward. On the palate this Riesling comes with deep citrus fruit, mint again, slight steel, tight texture. The finish is long and fresh with citrus and lemon peel.
