A power maschine but still calm, great slate minerality in the nose with a lot of citrus, mandarins and grapefruit notes but also slight stonefruit like mirabelle, on the palate greatly balanced, with amazing potential. Love it!
2015 - Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg Riesling Beerenauslese
Everything you can expect from a true BA - Johannes Leitz managed to put it in the bottle. Deep and complex nose of spicy minerality and a powerful fruit basket of dates, exotic fruits, yellow apples, but also stone fruits and raisins. On the palate and exiting gentle wine. Gentle from its smooth and fresh acidity, exiting from the crazy spices and herbal notes. Wicked. Finishes forever...
2006 - Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese

In the nose great aging with honey, raisins and caramelized figs, great mineral basis. On the palate caramelized stone fruit, slight watermelon, grapefruit peel, spicy minerals. Finishes sweet and spicy. Delicious!
1997 - Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg Riesling trocken
In the nose is a spicy mix of minerality, wood, beautiful herbs and ripe stone fruits, especially plums and peach, some orange peel, clove and ripe apples add to it. On the palate it is a beautifully aged Riesling, smooth but with a grabbing acidity, plenty of herbs and spices, fantastic minerality, citrus peel, ripe fruit notes, apple pie.
1991 - Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg Riesling Kabinett trocken
Another amazing gift from winery Leitz Weingut Leitz for our #fridaytradition as we rarely get to drink a 27 year old Kabinett Riesling. A wicked Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg Riesling Kabinett trocken dry from the year 1991. You just want to put your nose into the glass: Full bodied, soft, yellow apples, gooseberry, smoke, vanilla, slight caramel, honey, some firestone-like minerality. Very elegant on the palate with still beautiful and fresh acidity, dry but with beautiful aging notes of honey, you still taste the spicy notes of the quartzite-slate terroir. Gooseberry-vanilla-finish. Just amazing.

It is brilliant, clear and just a dream. In the nose with exotic fruits, raspberry, mango, apple blossom, light herbal notes, on the palate crazy good mineralization of slate, quartzite and loess elements, fruit notes of passion fruit and stone fruits that seem to stay forever, beautiful and clear acidity.

This one is so much fun! Perfectly aged, greatly balanced! In the nose beautiful Rheingau slate minerality, beautiful aging notes of honey and raisins, stone fruits of plums and cherry, mango and sweet pineapple, on the palate soooo smooth, powerful minerality, honey, herbs and spicy finish.
2005 - Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling Auslese
It has aged beautifully. Caramel in the nose together with mango and pineapple, same wicked mineralization, everlasting balance on the palate of juicy acidity, smooth minerals and stone fruit. Wicked!
2002 - Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling Spätlese trocken
We were very happy to get a bottle of this fantastic #riesling from @Johannes Leitz as it is truly a bomb. Very powerful, very dense, very complex, greatly aged. The nose is filled with spicy minerality, ripe pineapple and mango, lots of roasted caramel and vanilla, wood and smoky, mandarin peel. On the palate unbelievably deep and powerful, racy and crisp acidity, roasted notes again, very creamy texture. The finish is just long, long, long. An unbelievable feeling in the mouth – like you have tasted a hundred things at the same time. Thanks Johannes for sharing this fantastic feeling with us!

In the nose a beauty with peach, orange peel, citrus flavors, deep graphite style minerality, beautiful herbs and spices. On the palate elegant and harmonious, can’t stop drinking, super long. Clear recommendation!
2005 - Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling GG
The 2005 shows how fantasticly these wines age. It is milder in the nose with additional honey and plum, crazy herbs in the nose, acidity still very present together with the typical minerality, less citrus, instead more spicy notes, smoky on the palate, long stony finish. Wicked!
2003 - Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling Spätlese
Beautiful and super-inviting nose, ripe stone fruits, honey, dried pineapple, raisins, candied peach, slight smoke, good spices. On the palate smooth and creamy, spicy minerality, beautiful harmonic fruit body with multiple exotic fruits and candied citrus. Super soft and long finish. This wine just makes you calm and happy. Fantastic experience!

The 2015 has a great minerality with citrus and grapefruit in the nose, in the palate a nice acidity that stays very long, citrus flavors, black currant, bit of nut.

The 2010 has a balanced and fruity nose with exotic elements like mango and pineapple, on the palate also citrus, green apples and black currant, great acidity and minerals, very harmonious. Aging makes this wine even more brilliant.
2004 - Rüdesheimer Berg Kaisersteinfels Riesling Alte Reben
In the nose a wonderful mix of ripe fruits, honey, wood and smoke, all mixed with a perfect spicy minerality, super gentle, super smooth, super inviting. On the palate so fine and elegant, wicked spices-herbs-mix, fresh, lively acidity, ripe wood and honey elements. Beautiful complexity, ripe freshness, finishes with hints of vanilla and salt. Wicked Riesling, amazing experience!

Smoky and spicy nose, dried plums, ripe apricots and raisins, clove and pepper, lots of caramel, bit of coffee. On the palate ripe and creamy, still very fresh acidity, great mix of spices and woody-smoky notes, dried fruits, also orange peel. Finishes very long and racy with a beautiful caramel-spicy-orange peel mix. Simply outstanding!
